How Close Are We to the End of Democracy?

There is no crisis today that justifies suspending the constitution. There is a constitution in effect today. That constitution has endured for over 200 years.

We're not a democracy, we have never been one and thankfully never will be. The majority rule would ahve destroyed all that didn't comply with the majority a long time ago. Majority group a decides minority group b need to be executed. Majority wins, minority is gone.
So what is the exact dollar value of a human life now? Generations of the people of Iraq have a chance now at a real future instead of a continued enslaved future. So what, maybe $20 is all that is worth to you? I am glad our forefathers didn't look at the budget during teh revolutionary war and say our future generations are just not worth it. Actually, if they had know what we are like now, they may have very well changed their mind.
The life of a human is more than a buck, more than a billion bucks. If 2000 lives are sacrificed to save tens of millions of lives, then it is worht the sacrifice. COuntless generations now have a chance, are they not worth more than a few hundred billion? Are the children of Iraq not worth fighting for, are they worth less than the oil in Iraq? It sound slike you are saying they are worthless.
