Voice of the White House

April 30, 2006 by element115
It is well-known inside the Beltway, and the White House, that these physically unattractive, aging and flabby legislators eagerly solicit Washington?s legions of crooked lobbyists for favors such as drugs, sex with whores, both female, men and boys (but as far as is known, not animals?yet) and as many free trips and visits to expensive resorts as possible. The legend that the lobbyists go after the Congressmen is not true; it is the other way around. In this case, it was pathetic paid sex for votes and nothing more. The great number of these eager petitioners are, most unfortunately for the President, all Republicans, including some very important Committee Chairmen.

The Security Council deadline myth

by element115
Under a Safeguards Agreement concluded with the International Atomic Energy Agency - as required by the Treaty on Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons - Iran agreed to allow IAEA inspectors to "verify" that no "source or special nuclear materials" are being used in furtherance of a nuclear weapons program.

During the past three years, every report Director-General Mohamed ElBaradei has made to the IAEA Board concluded that - as best he can determine - no proscribed materials have been so used.

The NPT and the IAEA Statute and the Iranian Safeguards Agreement all guarantee Iran's "inalienable" right to conduct research into - and to enjoy all the benefits of the peaceful use of - nuclear energy.

Yet in the degraded sensibility of these times, such confessions go unnoticed, their evil unrecognized -- or even lauded as savvy ploys or noble endeavors. Inured to moral horror by half a century of outrages committed by the "National Security" complex, the establishment, along with the media and vast swathes of the population, can no longer discern the poison in the air they breathe. Neil Young: 'Impeach the President' Lyrics

by element115
Let's impeach the president for lying

And leading our country into war

Abusing all the power that we gave him

And shipping all our money out the door

He's the man who hired all the criminals

The White House shadows who hide behind closed doors

And bend the facts to fit with their new stories

Of why we have to send our men to war

Let's impeach the president for spying

On citizens inside their own homes

Breaking every law in the country

By tapping our computers and telephones

What if Al Qaeda blew up the levees

Would New Orleans have been safer that way

Sheltered by our government's protection

Or was someone just not home that day?

Let's impeach the president

For hijacking our religion and using it to get elected

Dividing our country into colors

And still leaving black people neglected

Thank god he's racking down on steroids

Since he sold his old baseball team

There's lot of people looking at big trouble

But of course the president is clean

Thank God

California Becomes Second State to Introduce Bush Impeachment

by element115
"bases the call for impeachment upon the Bush Administration intentionally misleading the Congress and the American people regarding the threat from Iraq in order to justify an unnecessary war that has cost billions of dollars and thousands of lives and casualties; exceeding constitutional authority to wage war by invading Iraq; exceeding constitutional authority by Federalizing the National Guard; conspiring to torture prisoners in violation of the 'Federal Torture Act' and indicating intent to continue such actions; spying on American citizens in violation of the 1978 Foreign Agency Surveillance Act; leaking and covering up the leak of the identity of Valerie Plame Wilson, and holding American citizens without charge or trial."

Rage and Light: Militarism and its Discontents

by element115
Chris Floyd --> ...this PNAC document from 2000 explicitly stated that America should establish a military presence in Iraq no matter what the political situation in that country might be; this was an urgent need that "transcends the issue of the regime of Saddam Hussein." It is now abundantly clear, from a nearly overwhelming number of sources, including some from inside the Bush Administration itself, that the Bush Faction intended to invade Iraq from their first moments in power.

Neocon Academic Glorifies P2OG Terrorism

by element115
"From the founding of the United States, the federal government has relied on subterfuge, skullduggery, and secret operations to advance American interests," Henriksen notes, dispensing with the normal neocon tendency to avoid history or at best gloss over it. "Even in the midst of World War II, America's greatest conventional war of the twentieth century, the United States resorted to cloak-and-dagger missions under the Office of Strategic Services. For example, the OSS, along with British intelligence services, aided the French resistance to the German occupation, helping prepare for Europe's liberation. When divisions were absent in the Cold War, American operators instigated them." Indeed?and one such instigation was Operation Gladio, a clandestine "stay-behind" operation sponsored by the CIA and NATO after World War Two to fight against "communist influence," or subvert democratically elected governments not sufficiently reactionary or fascist through terrorism and mass murder (one such incident was the Strage di Bologna, or Bologna massacre, which killed 85 people and wounded more than 200, a collaboration by Ordine Nuovo, the Italian secret service, and the P2 Masonic lodge and part of Operation Gladio's strategia della tensione, or strategy of tension, designed to manipulate public opinion using fear, propaganda, disinformation, psychological warfare, agents provocateurs, and threats of terrorism).

The fact that White House policy is now in the hands of two Jews is not seen as significant by activists in the American Jewish community.

"He is simply appointing the best people for the job," said Nathan Diament, who heads the Washington office of the Orthodox Union.

"The Iraqis Are Not The Enemy"

by element115
"When I came into the military, I signed a contract that said I would defend this country against all threats, foreign and domestic.

After spending a year in Iraq, I have found that the Iraqis are not a threat or the enemy. I did find that we are the threat and the enemy to them.

They acted as we would if someone came into America and said we are going to change your ways.

I feel this war is no longer about taking out a threat. But I believe it is about securing oil commerce for the future."

A Spy Speaks Out

April 23, 2006 by element115
60 Minutes --> When no weapons of mass destruction surfaced in Iraq, President Bush insisted that all those WMD claims before the war were the result of faulty intelligence. But a former top CIA official, Tyler Drumheller - a 26-year veteran of the agency - has decided to do something CIA officials at his level almost never do: Speak out.

He tells correspondent Ed Bradley the real failure was not in the intelligence community but in the White House. He says he saw how the Bush administration, time and again, welcomed intelligence that fit the president's determination to go to war and turned a blind eye to intelligence that did not.

In January 2001, with the inauguration of George W. Bush as president, America set on a path to cease being good; America became a revolutionary nation, a radical republic. If our country continues on this path, it will cease to be great - as happened to all great powers before it, without exception.

Waco and the Bipartisan Police State

April 20, 2006 by element115
Thirteen years ago the federal government of the United States ended its altercation with a group of peaceful religious separatists - a conflict the government had initiated - by driving a tank through the Branch Davidians? home and church, pumping the interior with poisonous gas, and keeping the fire engines at a distance while the building and the people inside burned.

Waco is still important, because it illustrates the violent nature of the state, the fact that political power flows from the barrel of a gun, and the scary truth that the U.S. government is ultimately no different from all others in this respect.

Stand up for Humanity

by element115
Decent people living in INTERNALLY decent democratic societies with freedom of speech (such as those of the war criminal Coalition countries) are obliged to stand up for humanity - they will not be imprisoned, tortured or killed for simply stating the obvious, that "thou shall not kill" and that mass killing of "enemy infants" is utterly repugnant and unforgivably beyond the Pale. Silence kills and silence is complicity ? in the face of horrendous abuses of humanity we are obliged to INFORM everyone and to AVOID (where possible) any personal or business dealings with those responsible.

Even a fall of only 10% completely wipes out everyone who has only 10% equity in their house. This means that house price crashes are actually worse than stock crashes. Most people have most of their money in their house, and that money is highly leveraged.

Your future according to Rockefeller

by element115
"The basic plan was published in 1930 by his intimate friend Hoffman Nickerson in his book, the American Rich. Nickerson's scheme is to nullify the Constitution by converting our Government into an absolute monarchy. He concludes, the only perfect form of government is hereditary absolute monarchy, but it might be wiser at the start not to violate American sentiment by undertaking to impose it openly. The conversion of President to absolute monarch merely requires the elimination of checks and balances on the power of the President that the framers of the Constitution "unwisely" incorporated into it, to convert his role to that of absolute dictator."

Who is a terrorist?

by element115
Haaretz --> Israel is dropping thousands of bombs on towns and villages, on the "the launching pads" of the Qassams - another dubious term created by the defense establishment and blindly adopted by the press - and only the Palestinians, whose Qassam rockets haven't killed anyone since the disengagement, are called "terrorists."

The continuing imprisonment of besieged Gaza is precisely the opposite policy that should be applied to serve Israeli interests. The current policy only strengthens support for the Hamas, just like the terror attacks within Israel always strengthen the Israeli right. A nation under siege, its leadership boycotted, will have far more determination and resolve to fight to its last drop of blood. It is impossible to break the spirit of a desperate people. Only a nation that sees a light at the end of its desperation will change its ways.

Bush's Insane First Strike Policy

by element115
Most sane observers have calculated that if Iran is really planning on developing a nuclear weapon, it is years--perhaps even a decade--away from that goal. That was plenty of time to reassure Iran that it would not need the bomb, or to use international diplomacy to discourage the country from embarking on such a wasteful, expensive and dangerous project. Instead, by threatening to nuke Iran's nuclear research and processing facilities, the administration has predictably put Iran onto a crash course for developing the bomb. What alternative did Iran's leaders have after all the administration's bombast?

In fact, Bush-Cheney rhetoric may well have pushed Iran to seek to obtain nuclear capability by other faster means, such as obtaining a weapon, perhaps illegally, from Russia, or perhaps more directly from North Korea. After all, North Korea has the bomb and is strapped for two things that Iran has in abundance-oil and cash.

Military Coup in the United States of America?

by element115
With the unending ?war on terror? resulting in a heavy tampering of the American Constitution by the current US Administration, and the consequent granting of virtually limitless powers to the President of United States for the duration of the unending war, a real 'Constitutional Conundrum' has been created.

Americans becoming frustrated with democracy and disheartened with the apparent inability of their elected government to negoatiate the nation?s confounding impasses, thus, is a natural response. Unable to effect a change themselves, they may now be looking for someone or something that could produce workable solutions. Despite its misuse by the civilian leadership, the one institution of government in which the Americans continue to retain faith is their military.

An Israel Accountability Act

by element115
Provisions in that document effectively destroy the will of the Palestinian people by undermining the ability of that government to carry forward its responsibilities. Its primary basis seeks from the Hamas government acceptance of the state of Israel, acceptance of agreements made by Israel with the former PLO authority, and cessation of violence against Israel, yet nothing is required of Israel, not acceptance of a Palestine state, not cessation of violence against the Palestinians and not recognition that Israel has broken the very agreements it wants Hamas to accept. The passage of the act makes moot America's purported interest in creating democracies in the mid-east and ensures the continuation of instability for years to come. In short, it appears that the US and Israel intentionally want to maintain a constant condition in the mid-east that will ensure not just the continuation of terror by insurgents and nation states in that area, but a legacy of unending war.

Pentagon planned for Tehran conflict with war games in 2004

by element115
British officers took part in a US war game aimed at preparing for a possible invasion of Iran, despite repeated claims by the foreign secretary, Jack Straw, that a military strike against Iran is inconceivable.

The war game, codenamed Hotspur 2004, took place at the US base of Fort Belvoir in Virginia in July 2004.

The senior British officers took part in the Iranian war game just over a year after the invasion of Iraq. It was focused on the Caspian Sea, with an invasion date of 2015.

William Arkin, a former army intelligence officer who first reported on the contingency planning for a possible nuclear strike against Iran in his military column for the Washington Post online, said: "The United States military is really, really getting ready, building war plans and options, studying maps, shifting its thinking."

Peace can only be the fruit of justice

by element115
Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority Ismail Haniyeh outlines the basis for comprehensive peace...

"From time immemorial, Palestine was the peaceful homeland of native Muslims, Christians and Jews who lived together in peace and harmony, sharing a common history and heritage. In fact, it was only after Palestine was placed under the British mandate following World War I, and when the British colonialist authorities subsequently decided to illegally give Palestine, our ancestral homeland, to Zionism, that inter-communal and inter- religious harmony was disturbed.

As result of that wanton injustice, we find ourselves today as prisoners in our own homeland, enslaved and tormented by an illegal and immoral occupier who is treating our people as children of a lesser God, or even as if we were animals.

In fact, the criminal nature of this occupation transcends reality. The ugly scenes of murder, home demolitions, and humiliation to which our people are subjected to on a daily basis and which people outside Palestine watch on their TV screens, are but a small part of what is really happening on the ground.

Needless to say, the Israeli occupiers wouldn't be perpetrating their crimes against a helpless people whose only "crime" is its enduring yearning for freedom and justice were it not for the disgraceful apathy of the international community towards my people's plight.

Hence, I call on the international community to pressure the Israeli state to stop its systematic oppression and institutionalised persecution of my people."
