Spiderman reveals himself to the World

June 15, 2006 by element115
Following a showdown between a group of superheroes and supervillains in which hundreds of innocent civilians are killed, the government passes the Super-Hero Registration Act, requiring all superheroes to reveal their identities and register as "living weapons of mass destruction."

..."arguably the most shocking event in comic book history."

The seven-issue "Civil War" series, launched in May, sees Marvel's writers taking on the topical issue of civil liberties.

years ago...a comic book was just that, a comic book.

Our reality in 2006 does resemble some sort of apocalypse/transformation/shake up kind of experience.
Think about it...
Fictional superheros talk to real "Supervilains."
Supervillains/SuperGovernaments/SuperSystems/SuperEconomy which is in charge of REAL world. Killing daily thousands, allowing whole continents to parish, giving most of the money for military purposes, neglecting education and well being of the planet.
Powerful entity holding hostage most of the world...Actually, whole planet.

The fight is on...people are dying/suffering/not being able to be fully oneself/daily/armies are killing children.
70% of the world is rejected and mistreated . Their lives are beyond any standards. Their children work instead of playing, learning and being in school. Poor, very poor human beings. Many countries, many nations.

In the rest of the planet isn't as sweet as you thought, look around...mess and fear and lies and prozac and guns and plastic money and illusion of freedom and fake promises and never enough and microchips and control and wars and armies and mass-media and injustice.

Whole planet under the spell.

Wouldn't you say those are the fruits of our system on the planet Earth.
...hence, Our Supersystem is reveled...It's one of the Supervillains. Cancer. Bad Idea for the planet

...Peter Parker reveals not only himself, he takes "mask off" the supervillain through readers/media eyes.
Our governments are villains. Supervillains.
...don't just guess it, look around...

Clever, very clever Mr.Parker(I mean, writers from Marvel).Bravo.
