Opposition pushing for committee hearings on G20 security

July 9, 2010 by element115
Opposition MPs are trying to trigger parliamentary committee hearings into the street violence and allegations of police violations of civil rights during the G20 summit in Toronto.

But the government appears to oppose the plan.

We must keep insisting on thorough investigation of G20 attempt on human rights in Canada and also push for discussion on POLICE POWERS in Canada in general.
We must not lose our freedom.
We must show that we do not accept such a state of affairs.
We do have Rights.
Human Rights.
What we observed and experienced during G20 in Toronto was a TEST.
The question was "How will public and media(some) react?
Will people give up some of their rights?
Will public buy Oppression and Terror?
It was Experiment and Attempt.
Attempt on our Rights.
...and our Freedom.
We must voice our dissatisfaction.
We must hold hearings.

It's almost spiritual if you think about it.

Reminder for Governing Body: Not in Canada, Mr. Premier. Not in Canada.
